TRAINING
FIRST AID TRAINING
We run open and in-house courses (cost effective option for groups of 8 or more candidates). We offer two main courses, Level 3 First Aid at Work (3 days) and the Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day).
Candidates who already hold the First Aid at Work certificate and wish to re-qualify can attend a 2-day re-qualification course. Note that this must be done before their certificate expires to maintain the qualification.
First Aid courses are also available for specific sectors including those working or volunteering in Childcare or schools and other educational establishments. Working in the care sector requires specific knowledge that is addressed within the First Aid for Carers course. An additional qualification in Medical Gases is also available. We also provide training in the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
ROLO TRAINING
As an accredited training provider for ROLO we offer the 1-day Land based Health & Safety Course.
The course is a pre-requisite for renewal of LISS/CSCS Skills Card (Landbased Industry Skills Scheme/Construction Skills Certification Scheme). The ROLO Scheme (Registration of Land based Operatives) is for workers in the land based industry such as grounds maintenance, landscapers, garden designers and landscape suppliers.
The aims of the scheme are:
• Provide a means of identification
• Keeping a record of workers in the land based industry who have achieved a recognised level of competence
• Raise the standards of Health and Safety to reduce the risks and accidents throughout the industry
• Encourage employers to use only ROLO card holders who have accredited Health and Safety Training.
